EQUIPMENT WARRANTY POLICY 

GENERAL

Takara Company, Canada, Ltd., guarantees its equipment to be made of first−class material, free from defects in material or workmanship to the original purchaser under normal use and to perform the service for which they are intended in a thoroughly reliable and efficient manner when properly installed and serviced by a licensed professional. Misuse, abuse, tampering, accident, or mishandling or installation and service by someone other than a licensed professional voids all warranties. During the warranty period, Takara Company will, at its option, repair or replace any part or parts which prove to be defective. No claims will be allowed for labour or other incidental costs. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and all claims must be made through the distributor from whom the equipment was purchased. The equipment warranty covers the equipment only and Takara shall not be liable for damage to any person or to any property under this warranty.

HYDRAULIC PUMPS:

• 10 Years free repair or replacement of a defective Hyd Pump parts. Freight is covered during the first year of the warranty period only.

MOTORIZED HYDRAULIC BASES:

• 10 years free repair or replacement of a defective Motor with freight to and from covered during the first year of the warranty.
• No warranty on consumable parts such as base rings and glides.

MANUAL RECLINE MECHANISMS:

• 5 Years free replacement parts only for mechanisms on all−purpose Hydraulics.

UPHOLSTERED PARTS:

• 1 Year on stitching of our upholstery when our standard material is used. Please Note: Upholstery manufacturers will not guarantee against colour fade, stain, or change in the appearance of materials and Takara cannot guarantee even our standard vinyl against these problems. We recommend the use of clear plastic covers. Takara has no control over availability or colour matching qualities of upholstery material, plastics etc., as manufacturers of these products frequently discontinue or add colours and we are governed by the inventories that are available. There is no warranty for upholstery damaged by chemicals.

METAL PARTS – OTHER THAN ABOVE:

• 1 year against defects in materials and workmanship on metal parts such as armrest supports and footrests, except for consumables such as rubber footrest pads and or base rings. There is no warranty for parts damaged by chemicals.

PROCESSORS & STEAMERS:

• 1 Year for defective parts that fail under normal use. Motor 5 years repair or exchange, freight covered during the first year of warranty only.

GEMINI-II DRYER & IONIC DRYER:

• 5 years for motor and 3 years for the

BACKWASH UNITS:

• 1 Year for replacement parts with the exception of consumables such as spray hoses, strainer cups and drain parts.

TAKARA BELMONT CULTURED MARBLE, FIBERGLASS AND ABS ACRYLIC SHAMPOO BASINS:

• 3 years from the date of purchase.
• Fixtures have a 1-year (limited) warranty from thedate of purchase. All other parts warranted for 90 days from date of purchase.

MAJOLICA PORTO

• 1 year from the date of purchase.

Fixtures have a 1 year (limited) warranty from the date of purchase. All other parts are warranted for 90 days from the date of purchase.

YUME ESPOIRE:

• 10 years on the MOTOR OF motorized base of Yume. 1 year the other replacement parts with exception of consumables such as spray hoses, strainer cups, and drain parts. 1 year on the stitching of upholstery.
• 1 year for fixtures. 1 year metal parts of Yume base. No warranty on consumable items such as neck cushion, hoses, strainers, or drain parts.

MILLWORK :

• 1 Year warranty on custom millwork. Warranty void if installed by others. No claims will be allowed for labour or other incidental costs. No warranty against scratches, plastics and glass once installed.

REPLACEMENT PARTS WARRANTY:

• 90 Days from the purchase date

LABOUR:

• Takara Company, Canada, Ltd., will not be held responsible for ANY labor or installation charges or refitting unless pre−authorized.

CANCELLATIONS:

• Orders are acknowledged with the understanding and agreement that they cannot be cancelled except by mutual consent and may be subject to cancellation charges to commensurate with work done.
• In a constantly changing economy, improvements are continually being made, and we reserve the right to make changes without liability to match pieces of furniture or equipment previously purchased.

RETURNS:

• Takara Company, Canada, Ltd., will only accept returns when they have been pre−authorized and have the authorization number marked on the exterior of each carton that is returned. Takara will not be held responsible for any freight charges unless pre−authorized. Non−authorized returns WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED and will be returned to the sender. Defective parts will be replaced without charge, but where the nature of the return is other than for defects, such parts may be subject to a 25% handling charge. All returns must be on a freight pre−paid basis only. Merchandise that is not in perfect condition or that has been installed will not be accepted for return.
• During this period Takara Company will, at its option, repair or replace any part or parts which prove to be defective if returned to Takara Company, Canada, Ltd. This shall be the sole remedy available under this warranty. No claims will be allowed for labour or other incidental costs. Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and all claims must be made through the distributor from whom the equipment was purchased.

SHIPPING / DAMAGE / SHORTAGE

• All shipments are O.B. Shipping point, freight collect, unless otherwise specified.
• Carefully inspect shipment to be certain all packages on Bill of Lading are If there is damage or shortage, it must be noted on freight bill by the delivering agent. If there is concealed damage it is your responsibility to immediately obtain an inspection report. Our responsibility ceases when we obtain receipted Bill of Lading, however, we are happy to assist in filing claims, if we are furnished with the proper documents.
• All merchandise is quality inspected and packed in perfect condition when given over to the carrier. Once it is accepted by a common carrier, that carrier assumes full responsibility for its safe All claims for shortage, loss or damage must be filed with the carrier, not with Takara Company, Canada, Ltd. FOB only.
• Damage or shortage on merchandise must be noted on the bill of lading delivery receipt and claims must be promptly filed in writing with the carrier together with supporting documents including, but not limited to photos of packages and merchandise. Concealed damage must be reported to the carrier immediately upon discovery with a request for If more than 15 days after delivery, reasonable evidence must be submitted that damage could not have occurred after delivery.

DESIGNS PRODUCED BY TAKARA BELMONT ARE PROTECTED BY DESIGN REGISTRATION AND/OR PATENTS. SPECIFICATIONS AND PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

Takara Company, Canada, Ltd., reserves the right to make changes in design and improvement in equipment without imposing any obligation upon the company to install same on products heretofore manufactured.

No person is authorized to change any of the terms of this warranty.
